I had an amazing stay at the coastal shepherds hut! The value for the money was excellent and the room itself was clean and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the village and pubs. The staff, Helen and Tim, were wonderful and provided helpful information about the hut and the area.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was a larger selection of pastries.

The hot tub was incredible - the perfect way to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The outdoor living space was also a highlight, with a cozy pod for those chilly nights and a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast in the sunshine. The hut itself was well presented and had everything we needed for our stay. Plus, the hosts were lovely and very accommodating.

That the bed was slightly uncomfortable and the linen wasn't as soft as we would have liked. But honestly, this was such a minor detail in comparison to the overall amazing experience we had at this hidden gem retreat.

It was well-equipped with everything I needed, including bathrobes and essential items. The wood-fired hot tub was a highlight, especially enjoying it under the stars with a glass of wine. Despite the minor inconvenience of a small sign and lack of an ash bin, my overall experience was absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem for a truly amazing getaway. Stayed in a cute hut with a garden and a patio. Beachfront property with free WiFi, terrace, and private parking. So nice to escape the city and enjoy the tranquility.

The hut and surroundings are stunning, spotlessly clean, and private. Small Christmas tree and lights added a festive touch. Excellent location, just a 5 min walk to Polperro. Fabulous furnishings inside and out, with great attention to detail. Easy parking and unloading. a highly recommended stay!

I recently stayed at Penlea Retreat, a tranquil and private little place. It was the perfect location for visiting the surrounding areas, with a peaceful setting just outside the village. The Shepherd's Hut had everything I needed and more, including bathrobes which was a really nice touch. The outdoor living space, hot tub, and outdoor pod were all amazing additions to the experience. Helen and Tim were great hosts and even left scones and clotted cream for us on arrival.

They even went above and beyond by providing a birthday cake for our celebration. We also appreciated the well-thought-out layout of the hut and its privacy. the wood fired hot tub was a lovely way to end the day, especially under the starry sky. Plus, the hut was equipped with everything we needed, including essential items like tea, coffee, and milk.

The location of the hut was a bit inconvenient, as it was situated outside of the main village and required an uphill climb to reach. It made getting to and from the village center a bit tiring, especially after a long day of exploring.
